WHO ARE WE?
Therapeutic Activities Group CIC, are a Community Interest Company and Social Enterprise who strive to improve the physical, emotional, educational and social wellbeing of young adults and children in the community.
Our projects are Trauma Informed and aim to assist young people in their recovery from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Childhood Trauma, positively, the techniques used are interchangeable and can be used with individuals who have not necessarily experienced childhood adversity or trauma. Our programmes are strength based and utilise the PACE framework (Play, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Thrive techniques and positive affirmations, combining positive engagement and companionship with specialist practitioners to aid in the promotion of positive wellbeing and trauma recovery.
We have has successfully worked with young people with complex and or traumatic backgrounds across South Wales , those who display social, emotional or behavioural difficulties and children who display challenging behaviour, young people enjoy and look forward to sessions and positive engagement has resulted the vast majority of cases.
We strive to support young people in several ways, including;

Provide respite for current professionals
Our work encourages, exercise, play, but above all rapport building. The activities are only limited by our creativity and develop to become more bespoke once relationships grow.
We were nominated for the Social Business Wales awards 2019, One to watch category. We were highly commended by Social Business Wales. We have also been recognised by Wales Online in an article highlighting the positive impact we are having in schools in Cardiff.
